Terms and Conditions
By registering with Malibu FC, families acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions.
Program Structure
Malibu FC is a spring-based local club soccer program. Registration covers the full spring season, including training sessions, league play, and one tournament. Specific schedules, locations, and opponents may vary due to field availability, league scheduling, or external factors.
Commitment
Registration with Malibu FC constitutes a commitment for the full season. Malibu FC does not offer partial-season participation or prorated fees for missed sessions, games, or tournaments.
Refund Policy
All registration fees are non-refundable once registration is completed, except in the following circumstances:
• A season-ending injury that prevents participation, supported by a medical note
• A permanent family relocation that makes participation impossible
In these cases, refunds will be considered on a prorated basis at the discretion of Malibu FC, less any non-recoverable costs already incurred, including but not limited to league fees, tournament fees, uniforms, insurance, and administrative expenses.
No refunds will be issued for:
• Scheduling conflicts
• Change of mind
• Playing time concerns
• Coaching preferences
• Team placement
• Participation in another soccer program
Weather and Cancellations
Practices and games may be canceled due to weather, field closures, or circumstances beyond Malibu FC’s control. Make-up sessions are not guaranteed, and no refunds will be issued for canceled activities.
Playing Time
Malibu FC strives to provide a positive and competitive environment for all players. However, equal playing time is not guaranteed. Playing time decisions are at the discretion of the coach and are based on attendance, effort, development needs, and game circumstances.
Coaching Assignments
Coaches may change due to availability or unforeseen circumstances. Malibu FC reserves the right to assign or reassign coaches as needed. Coaching changes do not constitute grounds for a refund.
Conduct and Behavior
Players and families are expected to uphold standards of respect, sportsmanship, and positive behavior. Malibu FC reserves the right to suspend or remove any player or family whose behavior is disruptive or inconsistent with club values. Removal for disciplinary reasons does not result in a refund.
Injury and Medical Responsibility
Participation in soccer involves inherent risk. Families assume all risks associated with participation and agree that Malibu FC, its coaches, staff, and affiliates are not responsible for injuries sustained during activities, except as required by applicable law.
Photography and Media
Malibu FC may use photos or videos taken during practices, games, or events for promotional and marketing purposes. If a family wishes to opt out, they must notify Malibu FC in writing.
Agreement
By completing registration, families confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions and agree to abide by all Malibu FC policies and procedures.
